Terms of Service — Mealio

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Mealio (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@mealio.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscription Plans

Mealio offers Free, Premium, and Family subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are processed through PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your PayPal account. You may cancel at any time; your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion within 14 days of initial purchase.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service
Upload malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation
Share your account credentials with third parties

5. User Content

You retain ownership of recipes, meal plans, and other content you create in Mealio. By creating content, you grant Mealio a non-exclusive license to store and display it as part of the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Nutritional Information Disclaimer

Mealio provides nutritional calculations for informational purposes only. The calorie and macro calculations are estimates based on the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and standard ingredient databases. Consult a registered dietitian or healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have a medical condition.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mealio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete Account.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
